Frimstone are pleased to announce that they successfully passed the recent FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) Bronze award .
Our drivers based in the Cambridge area have all undertaken the Safe Urban Driving course which involved getting on bikes around Cambridge to see how vulnerable cyclists feel around heavy goods vehicles.
Thanks must go to Transport Manager, John Wimpress and his Transport Team who rather than involve consultants decided to learn and discover what was needed themselves.
John paid compliments to Frimstone’s own Workshop and Mechanics Team who helped ensure that all Trucks and Trailers were compliant.
The company will be working hard over the next few weeks to implement further vulnerable road user systems before applying for Silver Accreditation which makes the firm CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Cycle Safety) compliant helping reduce risks to all vulnerable road users when working in and around the busy City of Cambridge.
