Frimstone is delighted to announce the successful transition from the existing 9001:2008 standard to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and also from the existing 14001:2004 standard to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS), respectively.
The new standards represent the latest best-practice in how to manage and monitor quality across operations, and how to help to improve operational sustainability. The new standards were launched in September 2015, with completion of re-certification required by September 2018. Through a series of independent audits by BSI over a number of months, Frimstone are pleased to have achieved certification to the revised QMS- ISO 9001:2015 and EMS- ISO 14001:2015, standards in January 2018.
The adoption of the updated Management Systems is a strategic decision taken by the company to continuously improve our overall performance. This is reinforced by Mark Swan, Executive Director who after receiving the good news, commented ‘with the new standards in place we will find it easier to incorporate both management systems into the core business processes and gain a much greater business benefit, particularly in terms of improved environmental performance and customer satisfaction.’
