Workshop Apprentice, Adam Duncan has been at Frimstone Ltd for just four months but has already jumped straight into working life with tasks that his role entails.

Fulfilling his ambition of working with big trucks, his current apprenticeship at local Mineral Extraction Company, Frimstone Ltd, enables him to do just this by mirroring the technicians on their day to day tasks. Adam’s apprenticeship course enables him to learn on the job, as well as gain classroom-based theory, which he is then able to put into practice in the Workshop.

Adam’s proudest moment so far in his role was learning to change A-frame bushes on a Volvo Tipper, and only four months in, he’s certain to have quite a few more proud moments when he learns more from the HGV Technicians on site!

In five years’ time, Adam would like to be a qualified fitter, and preferably have his own apprentice to make his morning coffee for him! He still has a little way to go however, as the Technicians in the Workshop still won’t let him forget about not the one, but two times that he accidentally left the oil drainer open, for it to spill all over him, and being completely covered in lorry oil!
