Recycled Aggregates and Services

 

Throughout our network of quarries and recycling centres in East Anglia we import & reprocess demolition brick & concrete to produce Type 1 graded Crushed Concrete & 6f2 Crushed Brick. We are currently working on two wartime airfields to reprocess the concrete to produce a fully certified MOT Type 1 and then return the land to agricultural use.

 

We have a contract with Network Rail at March in Cambridgeshire to reprocess circa 200k tonnes per year of spent rail ballast. From this material we produce a fully certified MOT Type 1 & 6F5. We are currently washing the spent rail ballast to produce single sizes for surface dressing.

 

Frimstone Ltd recently celebrated the start of a major contract with Network Rail, recycling their spent railway ballast from the East Anglian region at their site at Whitemoor, March in Cambridgeshire. A condition of the contract was acheiving BSI accreditation. A key element of this accreditation is producing recycled material to meet the requirements of the WRAP Quality Protocol which we have achieved with the help of the BSI management systems.

 

 

Recycled Products

 

	Various Single Sized Granites   Conforms to BS EN 13043 for surface dressing. Suitable for use in permeable paving applications such as Priora and Formpave.
	MOT Type 1 Recycled Granite   Conforms to SFHW clause 803. BS EN13285.
	6F5 Reycled Granite / Recycled Hardcore   Conforms to BS EN13285 as material for capping and piling mats.
	Type 1 Crushed Concrete   Conforms to SFHW clause 803. BS EN13285.
	Crushed Brick   Conforms to specification 6F2, 6F5 material.
	Tarmac Planings   Conforms to Specification for Highway Works Series 600 as 6F3 material for capping. Alternatives: Crushed tarmac.
	Screened Soil   Available at all our sites for collection or deliveries can be organised with one of our tipper lorries. Locally sourced from the East Anglian region, our general purpose screened soil is ideal for gardens.
